Artists featured in I Just Brushed My Teeth are intrigued by evidence of both human presence and human absence – just as we are all present and yet will all one day be absent. They reconsider the banal, the way in which we experience everyday occurrences and language. All are fascinated by the contradictions between what their works are, what they once were and what, perhaps, they will become. In this show, the works embark on the journey we all make: from vitality to obsolescence and to eventual oblivion.
